1. Pro-Environmental Concern and Green Marketing

The growing concern about preserving the natural environment has induced the marketers to develop a new marketing concept called green marketing. Green marketing is the process of developing products and services and promoting them to satisfy the consumers who prefer products of good quality, performance and convenience at affordable cost, which at the same time do not have a detrimental impact on the environment. The present study took place in Kanniyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. The paper aims at finding the factors that prevent the marketing of green products and to understand the strategies needed to successful green marketing. Availability of green products at a reasonable price and customers’ awareness regarding environmental impact are essential for improving the sale of green products. The manufacturers, marketers, consumers, society, Government and media are collectively responsible for the sustainability of green environment and promotion of green products.

2. Trends of Marketing Practices in Public Sector Fertilizers Companies

The agriculture presents a close combination of business and a way of life. The farmer as an entrepreneur is the organizer and operator of labor, land and capital. In order to achieve the basic aim of farming, he intends to use the fertilizer, a substance to increase the productivity and hence to increase the profits. There are many companies producing the fertilizer in public and private sector. In this research paper, the marketing practices used by the Hindalco Industries Ltd, New Delhi and National Fertilizers Ltd. Noida (U.P) have been reviewed. This study also reveals the role of distributors to support the public companies in achieving their targets. Moreover, through the study, an attempt is made to suggest some strategic measures that can be used by the public companies to foster their growth.

3. A Comparative Study of CSR Spending among selected Banking Companies

A growing number of studies have investigated the various dimensions of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the literature. However, relatively a few studies have considered its impact on Banking Sector Companies. The purpose of this study is to compare whether variables of CSR spending are different in Public Sector and Private Sector Banking Companies. The Study was conducted in three banks two from public sector (SBI and Indian Bank) and one from private sector (HDFC Bank). Present study is based on secondary sources basically data were collected from Annual Reports of selected banks. As predicted, the findings from the study indicated significant positive correlations between selected banks’ CSR spending. Moreover the variables (Education and Health) are common regarding CSR spending. Based on the literature, two hypotheses were tested with the help of rank test and correlation. The results indicate that there is no significant difference between fund allocation and Net Profit; and there is no significance difference among private and public sector Banks regarding fund allocation.

4. Relation between Organizational Climate and Employee Job Satisfaction in Banking Industry

The aim of the present study is to analyze the relation between two variables namely organizational climate and employee job satisfaction in banking industry. Total 400 respondents were selected from 20 branches of five public sector`s and five private sector`s banks. Exploratory factor analysis was applied for identifying the dimensions of organizational climate and employee job satisfaction. Pearson correlation test was used for assess the relation between both variables. Result revealed that organizational climate and employee job satisfaction are significantly correlated and organizational climate plays a vital role in employee job satisfaction.

5. Role of Economic Value Addition (EVA) in Financing Pattern of Tata Consultancy Services Limited

The present study surveys TCS Ltd. to find out about its corporate finance practices vis-a-vis capital budgeting decisions, cost of capital, capital structure, and dividend policy decisions. It analyses the responses by the firm characteristics like profitability, leverage, and P/E ratio. The analysis reveals that practitioners do use the basic corporate finance tools that the professional institutes and business schools have taught for years to a great extent. The present study reveals that various financial tools used for Management Decision Making are playing important role and are very much upto mark. The results seem to suggest that if the firm does not have specific capital structure in mind when deciding as to how best to finance its projects where in case of the company it has always been kept in mind.

6. Impact of Performance Appraisal on Organizational Effectiveness: A Case Study of BEL Kotdwara

Now a days market value of organization depends more on intangible resource rather than tangible resources, human resource is important intangible resource which significantly reflect market value of organization. An effective performance appraisal system has a significant impact on ‟ organizational effectiveness”. Organization also has to leverage the skills and capabilities of its employees by encouraging learning capability of individual and creating a healthy environment in which knowledge can be created, easily shared with the employees and applied to achieve corporate goals of the organization. The present study has been conducted to find out the effect of performance appraisal system on organizational effectiveness in BEL Kotdwara. The methodology was based on a questionnaire survey to collect the data, the study obtained information from four hundred and two (402) respondents from staff of BEL Kotdwara, The results of the study were analyzed statistically by correlation and regression using SPSS software. The major finding of the study is that performance appraisal positively affects the organizational effectiveness.

7. Emerging Trends in Employment Generation in India: Opportunities & Challenges

Employment generation has its special significance for economic growth in each country. Continued rapid growth in the labor force of developing countries indicates that job creation policy has high rank in policy formulation. All nations’ government will have to understand that any evolutionary saga is not complete until the benefit of its growth does not reach to the poorest of the poor. UN Human Development Report, 2017 shows that despite the medium human development ranking of India in HDI (131 out of 188 countries), India’s Human Development Index growth rate has performed well compared to other countries. India’s HDI has increased approximately 46% over the last 25 years with the average growth of 1.52. Still one person out of the three is living at a lower level of human development. And in the changing environment of globalization and privatization, we need to make the radical changes in our system. In our country the revolutionary changes in education policies, employment policies and economic policy should be made to add the intensive relationship with other countries in the world scenario and by overall development of the country the international challenges could be faced strongly. This paper indicates that the role of government is the important key in expanding the employment opportunities by which creating the production framework, technical changes are brought according to the huge investment, allocation of resources and enhanced labor activities.

9. Stress Affects the Working of An Employee in An Organization

Workplace stress derives from many sources. It comes through a demanding boss, annoying co-workers, rebellious students, angry customers, hazardous conditions, long commutes and a never-ending workload. Our work performance is also affected by stressors such as family relationships, finances and a lack of sleep stemming from fears and anxieties about the future. How we handle the effects of stress depends on whether it is easier to change the situation or change our attitude toward it. Although there is not convincing evidence that job stressors cause health effects, the indirect evidence is strongly suggestive of a work stress effect. This evidence comes from occupational studies that show differences in health and mortality that are not easily explained by other factors and within-subject studies that demonstrate a causal effect of work experiences on physiological and emotional responses. We argue that studies relying on self-reports of working conditions and outcomes, whether cross-sectional or longitudinal, are unlikely to add significantly to the accumulated evidence.

11. An Analytical Study of Socio-Economic Condition of Women Agricultural Labourers in Meerut District

In Indian matrix, women agriculture labourers perform extensive farming jobs, still their ingress to resources is very low than their male counterparts. Women labours contribute about 70% of the total required labour in the agriculture field. The majority of the woman labour subsist their livelihood by working on agriculture field either as cultivators or as agriculture labour. Traditionally, agriculture is weather oriented less profitable sector, allowed to migrate large number of men from rural to urban areas to get higher paid jobs for their life span. During migration of men, female take responsibility of the family so they move towards agriculture labour sector while they get utmost less payment. Their participation and contribution in the farm sector are unaccounted and unrecognised in the mainstream of Indian’s economic. Thus, the present research paper is highlighting the socio-economic conditions of women agriculture labour. An attempt has been made to find out the problems faced by women agriculture labour at domestic and work place level in pathauli Panchayat, Sarurpur block, Meerut district and their perspective towards rural developmental programmes.

12. Consumer Attitude towards Green Products of Patanjali Ayurved Limited

The accelerated world-wide industrialisation, rapid growth in the economy and the patterns of consumers’ consumption and behaviour are the main cause of environmental deterioration. Change in the extreme value of Earth temperature, environment continues to worsen; it has been a public concern in the developed countries and has recently awakened developing countries to the green movement. In this paper authors have studied the "Green Marketing" policies adopted by Patanjali Ayurved Limited in its products. For this purpose a study of 100 respondents from different part of NCR has been selected. A well structured questionnaire is developed to know the response from respondents on ten variables about the products of Patanjali Ayurved Limited. With the help of SPSS 23 various statistical tools such as Mean, SD, Student t-Test, Chi-square Test and Factor Analysis are used to understand the respondents’ response. The result from the independent Student t-test showed that there were no significant differences between environmental issues and attitudes on green products. The factor analysis showed that there are three major dimensions of environmental attitudes among respondents.

13. A Survey on the Socio-economic Conditions of Labour in Brassware Industry of U.P. (With Special Reference to District Mirzapur)

The paper concerned is descriptive in nature. The objective of this paper is to investigate the socio-economic conditions of labour in brassware industry of Uttar Pradesh with special reference to District Mirzapur. The study presented is based on random sampling and secondary data. The brassware industry of Mirzapur is labour-intensive using old and outdated techniques of production. It is famous for brass utensil manufacture along with brass chakka sheets. The labour engaged in this industry are very poor and owners of the industry humiliate them and give them less wages, long working hours, no employment guarantee , improper working and living conditions. The workers are unskilled, lack of education, health and sanitation facilities. The poor socio-economic condition of labour leads to low productivity which in turn is leading to less growth of brassware industry.

14. Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) : A New Generation Enterprise Resource Planning Tool in the Modern World

Business vendors are targeting SMEs but many projects fail due to poor planning, lack of resources, organization immaturity and failure to understand the complexities of integrating such applications with existing business system Inside the promotion of distributed computing, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) frameworks conveyed as Software as a Service (SaaS) is getting more concentration from ERP sellers. ERP merchants have for a long time created and sold ERP as 'standard programming' that fits the necessities of numerous organizations, and now SaaS as another way to deal with convey programming has developed. In this examination the offers of programming as an administration from an ERP merchant's viewpoint is investigated.

15. Financial Issues & Aspects Related to Sustainability, Survival and Growth of Startup

Startups are unique and innovative venture with growth and technology at their core. Startups usually carve out niche markets for themselves and are market disrupters for old business establishments. Their importance is such that Government of India has recognized their worth and is promoting startups through programs like Startup India, Standup India, Digital India etc. Encouraging establishment of startups is applaudable but the main concerns like profitability and sustainability of startups should be addressed. Mostly quantitative measurement are considered as yardsticks for measuring the performance of startups and very little research is done on the qualitative aspects. This has created lack of knowledge to provide solutions to startups problems. Thus, in this research paper financial qualitative aspects are covered. A self illustrated diagram of startup life cycle and its detailed explanation is given. Then reasons for financial failure of startups like lack of credit and capital, improper fund estimation and allocation, wrong investors, lack of professionals, cash management issues, etc. are discussed and explained in detail. All these challenges point out a common factor that financial aid, assistance and mentoring for startups is necessary. If we are to see a rapid growth in the success rate of startups then mere profitability and growth aspects are not enough, one has to focus on their sustainability too. It is observed that startups are mushrooming all over the Indian economy signaling a positive contribution to the growth of the nation. In order to induce a more conclusive environment for startups, measures like credit availability, mentorship, tax exemption, relaxed norms etc. should be given by the Government. This would ensure growth and survival of startups which would ultimately benefit the customer, the market, the economy and the country.

As several studies have shown, the relationship between students’ perception of educational system and overall satisfaction is sometime non-linear. Performance indicators are now an established feature of the tertiary sector, being employed to evaluate teaching as well as research. Therefore, in this study, a two-axis model is described, which goes some way to addressing the deficiency of limited resources.

The real estate sector in India assumed a greater prominence with the liberalisation of the economy, as the consequent increase in business opportunities and labour migration led to rising demand for commercial and housing space. At present, the real estate and construction sectors are playing a crucial role in the overall development of India’s core infrastructure. The real estate industry’s growth is linked to developments in the retail, hospitality and entertainment(hotels, resorts, cinema theatres) industries, economic services (hospitals, schools) and information technology (IT)- enabled services (like call centres) etc. and vice versa. This study is related to Real estate industry in India. Heightened realization on the part of all stakeholders that infrastructure would play a key role towards pushing India’s GDP to the desirable 8 percent mark has come as a boon for India’s construction industry. This study was basically concern with consumer buying behaviour towards residential properties. The basic objective behind carrying this study was to study the impact of Government Policies on consumer’s property purchasing behaviour i.e. (Residential) of different types of customer in different area in NCR, to study the various factors affecting the customer-buying pattern especially in case of residential properties and to search out whether Government Policies will encourage a consumer to buy real estate property and to see whether customer’s are getting confidence through this new regulatory body which is going to regulate the industry

19. A Study on Employee’s Perception Towards Human Resource Development Practices (A Case Study of Indian Oil Corporation Limited)

Human Resources Development can be viewed fundamentally as an approach or strategy to achieve integration between the individual employee and the organisation by developing an appropriate mutual relationship. The problem of integration arises from the fact that organizational interests and individual interests do not automatically coincide. In their drive to fulfill objectives such as growth and profits, organisations normally tend to function in ways that neglect or violate the interests and needs of individuals. Integrating the individual with the organisation, therefore, requires conscious and deliberate organisational and managerial action to bridge the gap. The present study is an attempt to ascertain whether the top management in public sector organizations believes in employee development and to what extent they are helpful in developing organizational development climate in their undertakings. The study is quite significant as it has significant perception of employees on the efficiency and productivity of the organization.
